Farmer Charlie, throw some annual rye grass and winter wheat in all the bare areas including the pond basin.
That's my plan. The fertilizer company was scheduled to come spread a couple tons of lime per acre yesterday, but we got enough rain Thursday night to have to postpone it. I'm not sure a spreader truck is exactly the kind of structure I need in the pond.
If the rain will just hold off a few more days, then we can get this project finished, and I can start hoping for rain again.
