I'm starting to collect catch info from resident in the neighborhood where I live. We have lake that is about 100 acres, and we are trying to make sure we keep the fishing as good as we can. We are trying to get it in the budget to have an electroshock done next year but in the mean time I recording catch data.

Does anyone have a spreadsheet template that you can put the length and weight of the fish in and it computes the WR? I did a search but could not find one.

Hmmm, I've never seen a spreadsheet that records catches and calculates relative weight but with some work one could be designed. If you had columns where you entered the type of fish caught (could be a drop down menu) and the length of the fish caught and the weight of the fish caught then you could use an "if" formula (sometimes referred to as an "if/then" formula) to insert the "standard" weight for that species of fish and that length of fish into the worksheet. The relative weight could then be calcuated by comparing the weight of the "caught" fish to the standard weight for that length of fish. Sounds like an interesting but time consuming project.

Has anyone created anything like this?

Yes, we have spoken about shocking, and also some Honey Hole habitat. I'm pushing them to do the shocking in 2010, but may not get it in the budget.
