There is a blue fisher "bird" living along the pond. I was wondering if that ment there was planty of food in there.
Also grass has been planted on the dam.
Also three big rock piles have been put in
A special cement mixture was installed for the spill way.
The pond is a darker brown green hue color. Good fertilazation?

Great Blue Heron?  It likely means plentiful fish (in the shallows, anyway) if one is hanging around. Not that you really want them to. Measure your water visibility. If 18"-24", you green-brown coloring likely means a nice algal bloom (from good fertility). See the Archive Secchi Disk thread.

Great blue herons will feed on fish, frogs, snakes, crayfish and even mice. Having one around means you got at least a few of at least one of the mentioned animals.

I think he meant Kingfisher, that's the "other" blue bird!  But then again, I could be wrong!
