The pond is fine here are some facts and updates that I did not post before.

1. Pond has a brownish green hue to it. Photoplankton?

2. Many insects including water beetles and such

3. King fisher (bird)

4. very warm water? Much warmer then surrounding air. The former small pond never froze.
