I stocked 30 pounds in early April and put in some skids for cover/egg laying. Within 3 weeks there were very few to be seen. The first batch of baby fatheads could be seen for a week or so swimming around the pond. But no more. My opinion is that the only ones that survive beyone a couple of weeks are the ones who hang very close to cover. There are still enough to reproduce but I don't think I will ever see large numbers of minnows in this pond.
