esshup....your theory had crossed my mind! You've brought it back to the forefront...Thanks!! The tubing I'm using is left over from the original installation of aerators in the other two ponds. It has in fact been in the loft of the barn for about 5 years!! The total 180' is made up of two pieces. One being about 110' and the other 90' with a splice to connect them. The boxes they were in were closed but not sealed. I know if I had 6 or 8 legs I'd find it quite inviting.

My next step will be to disconnect the air station then separate at the splice. If the pressure doesn't drop then the piece between the pump and the splice has a blockage. Then I'll test the other piece. After all this discussion a line blockage seems like it may be the problem.

If it is, I guess either hooking it up to the air compressor or water hose may dislodge it. Otherwise I'll have to find something that's at least 110'+/- long to swab it out. Any good ideas?

This is the path I'll go down.....before I spend more of my parent's money.......lol!!
