Ted, boy thats a lot of back pressure without even being in the water. I guess that is from the regulating orfaces combined with the standard air to inflate the disc.

That 4 psi combined with the 4.35 that I calculated earlier makes sense on why Chuck is getting a reading of 9 psi. Water then is not the issue in this case.

We use the check valves as a redundant check. The tube membranes utilize the same integraded check as the disc but we only show a 1.25 psi back pressure. Therefore the minimal back pressure created by the check valve is a mood point for us.

With a piston compressor, I'm thinking we shouldn't need it any way. The piston acts as a positive pressure thereby not allowing any air to back up into the compressor like it will on a rotary vane compressor. Hmmm I see a new change soon.

Great post Ted and I'm glad you had that equipment in your shop to test. Being a remote sales office now, I don't have any equipment to test with anymore. I miss that part when I sold the company.
