Thank you all for the prayers and kind thoughts. I read them to Ricki and she is quite touched. What an amazing forum this is. I would not have shared this info on any other forum but here we are like family.

To address some of the suggestions and comments:

We do get a security deposit. Unfortunately the industry norm for vacation rentals is a $500 security deposit. It doesn't take much to eat up $500. We'll have close to double that in expenses when all is said and done. Fortunately most tenants are good people and in 3 years of renting this property as a vacation rental we've only had damage twice.

Boxers??? No way, commando bayyybeeee!

Laundry room? True story here. When Ricki and I first got together I decided to do her a favor and run a load of laundry. Being cost concious I wanted to ensure that the washer was full before running it. So I pretty much put anything and everything into one load. We'll you guessed it, one of my red T shirts went in with her laundry and the result was every thing had a pink hue to it when done. And there was another time when I decided to wash my car cover. It bunched up on once side of the washer during the spin cycle and the washer started moon walking across the laundry room. Now the laundry room is off limits for me. I do have kitchen privledges as long as I don't turn any knobs or push any buttons. Oh and by the way 15 minutes is way too long to cook a hot dog in a microwave, although the results are nothing short of spectular, cleaning up the mess is not fun.

DVD player? Does anyone really know how to control their TV system? We have the following remotes: One for the TV, a second for the cable box, a third for the sound system, a fourth for the DVD player, a fifth for the hard disk drive recorder. So Ricki bought and programmed a "universal" remote. It allows me to universally mess everything up. On the plus side though it is quite interesting to watch the news while listening to a spanish soap opera.

Thanks for all the prayers and wishes, she has an appointment next week with her cardiologist and we'll see what happens then.

I've been doing my own laundry since I was seven years old.

This was after my dad did a load of whites including my underwear, along with a red sweatshirt.

Of course, I was leaving for camp later that day.

I can see how that would be a problem for you Sunil. I would imagine that it's difficult maintaining any semblance of masculinity while wearing a pink thong. \:D

I've heard that Hot August Nights is off the hook. We use to participate in Route 66 Rendevous, it was great fun.

Rocky, a real man must set the tone for a marriage.

When Ricki and I married I told her in no uncertain terms "Remember JWHAP, I'm captain of this ship and my word is law."

To which she responded "Yep, well I'm admiral of this navy so if you don't want to spend all of your time in dry dock you'll sail where and when I tell you."

So it's all good.

I guess that's the same as the guy who reported to his new bride on their wedding night that he wears the pants and he's the boss.
His bride handed him her panties and said thats ok if he could fit into them, when he tried he exclaimed, I can't get into these, then she replied and you'll never get into them if you don't loose that smart ass attitude.

On a serious note,my mom taught me that when you clean a microwave, cook a bowl of water in it first. The steam will loosen everything up.
As far as Sunil goes, thats way, way, way too much info.Even at 7.

Tom she must have just taught you that because Microwaves weren't even invented yet when you were 7.

OK, now I'm really gettin' confused...
Let me get this straight:
Tom has it on good authority that Sunil should put his 7 year old pink thong in the microwave with a bowl of water, so the steam will loosen everything up and make it easier to clean.

Look, these were just Fruit of the Loom jockey style underwear, once white in color, then shamefully altered to light pink.

If you want to wear pink underwear, Little Brother, do so with pride, not shame. I'm behind you 100% ...

in my tighty whities.
