I have some lobbying experience at the State and Federal level. The only thing, other than a bag full small bills, that worked was a telephone bank and a personal meeting. EMail is useless.

It's a simple concept. Organize a group of people. Get them to further organize a group of their contacts. Start calling and lock their phones. Be polite and knowledgeable about the issues(s). End every call with the statement "I am a registered voter and I will be keeping an eye on his/her actions, not just his/her vote on this bill.". This becomes more effective when it is combined with dropping in to their local offices and actually expressing your views to a real person. Don't be argumentative but don't accept any BS.
