Fifty-Eight years ago today, my bride and I left a small town in Kansas in my �souped-up� �38 Ford, with all of our worldly possessions in a GI foot locker, for destinations unknown, and a life of adventure.
It�s been quite a ride!

Something to be proud of! My grandparents just celebrated their 60th a couple years ago. I am getting married in just a few days shy of a year. Things have surely changed in 58 years, but I am sure your love has only grown!

How's the '38 Ford holding up? Theo, wish I still had that 38 Ford with a HOT �42 V-8 engine � not a car on the road could pass me � mechanical brakes no less.

Jim, I�m a native Texan and adopted Kansan. I met my future bride on a blind date in Halstead while doing O&G exploration as a young geologist turned exploration geophysicist, working out of Wellington at the time.

Girls always go for the hot cars. My dad picked up my mom on their first date in a hotrodded 55 Ford Vicky that had a mean exhaust system, it was love at first rev. They were married for over 50 years as well.

My Dad still has the blue tail light assembly that he used to wow the ladies in the late 40's. I had a '79 Rally Sport Camaro when I started dating my wife (still do). Fish Wife was about to get a new pickup truck at the time, and her Grandma told her to get whatever she wanted, as long as it didn't have a "flap on the back" like my car.
