I just bought the neatest fishing tool. A Blue tooth hook, I can now fish with my cell phone. The thing is amazing; it allows the free floating of bait, the fish never become aware of any line connected to the hook because there isn’t any. There are limitations, of course, with this first generation device, 33 feet is the limit between hook and cell phone and there is also, currently, a 20 pound test limit on the Blue tooth connection.

Partnering is simple, turn on the hook and when the blue led stops flashing you are set to go. It works with either floating or sinking baits.

Scientists are currently working on Blue tooth 1 technology to extend the distance between receiver and hook and they are also adapting the device to flies and other artificial baits.

Be advised this is available for Windows enabled devises only, it is uncertain if the technology will be available for Mac users.
