I was also thinking turbid water, Cecil. By the way, that's a cool-looking bluegill - CNBG, right? No these are northern bluegills. I stole the pic off a fishing site.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

The top two look northern-strain but the bottom one looks coppernose. Where were they caught?

Cecil, do you mean the jaw bone extending past the eye?
The fish's head area is so weird that it made me wonder. You can almost see the smallie type lines on the gill plate. Sometimes I see something like it on LMB also.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

It really looks like a white perch, like the Atlantic Ocean vareity. They are anadromous, meaning they can live in both salt and fresh water. I know they have been accidentally introduced here in OH and I wonder if that is similar elsewhere. 11" is a monster white perch though, it could be also be a LMB in turbid water as others have mentioned. You be the judge...

Notice how the jaw bone of that white perch gets nowhere near as far back as on the dead bass...

Sometimes I see something like it on LMB also. Yeah they both have it but as you're alluding to the smallie's seem more pronounced. Sunil you need to get some more fishing in. I can tell. You're working too much!
