Hey guys, I'm in the process of clearing trees for a new pond on my farm. The pond is going to be fed by a creek and I was wondering if the water level could be above the mouth of the creek? The creek is currently about 10ft. below where I would like for the water level to be (this is the mouth of the creek).
The reason I ask is because I've heard some people around home say that you should not have the water level above the creek and some say that it doesn't matter and won't affect the pond's aeration. The plan is for this to be a 1 - 1 1/2 acre pond that will be stocked.
Anybody have any thoughts as to which way I should go with this?
