Who would have thought 233 years later, our country would be the most powerful in the world? I sure know the King of England didn't...
Who would have thought we'd have more opportunity for those willing to work hard than any other country in the world?
We've gone through some tough times as a country, from the Civil War to the Great Depression. Right now we are going through more tough times, but if we all do the right thing we can ride this wave out and continue to be the Greatest Nation to have ever existed!
Thank a Veteran! Thank our Founding Fathers for having such great wisdom to lay the foundation for such a great nation.

Happy 4th of July Pond Bossians. And to all of the men and women that have served or are serving in the armed forces I offer my heart felt thank you. Your sacrifice forged a mere landscape into the greatest nation in the world.
Also to all policemen (yep that means you CJ), firemen, paramedics, and first responders, thank you as well for keeping us safe and healthy and able to enjoy this wonderful country.

Happy birthday, lady. You are still lookin good for 223. I remember thinking how old I would be when she turned 200. Then how old I would be in the year 2000. Still waiting to get old. Aint gonna happen.

We had rain in the evening so we moved the party into a cement floor machine shed and opened the big doors. Shuttled the kids in and out to set off the fireworks, they had a great time in the mud. "Necessity if the Mother of Invention"

I caught lots of eels, spot and croaker off my dad's dock as we lit off fireworks. 85 degrees, low humidity and sunny... Hard to beat that for a Virginia 4th of July!
