If you stock only YP and minnows in the 1 acre pond, carefully watch it so the underwater vegetation stays minimal. Too many weeds will quickly allow for an overpopulation of smaller YP. Realize that you may need to manually thin the 3"-5" perch to keep competition among YP low and growth rates high.

When and as submerged vegetation increases the need for more predators besides YP increases. IMO Once the weeds reach a certain density then LMB become more compatable ansd useful with YP.
