Anyone keeping up to date on this? S. 787 has been amended and now stated as "waters of the United States".

Typical! Government wants more control, when they ram-rod this thru, they will do nothing constructive with their new-found power, and go on the the next situation where they can get in the middle of a something where they have no expertise, screw it up and then on they go again. Really sad!

Just do it...

I encourage everyone to search and read up on this. This is a major legislation and a major reduction of / intrusion upon your property rights. Read and then contact your US Legislators.

Those were my exact words in several threads that got bleeped. I'm still trying to figure out how they were considered politiics.

Oh wait I was told it has to do more with what kind of discourse we get out of the thread. \:\/

TOM G, I only call in to fire you because, subconsciously, you want to be fired.

Call me a facilitator if you will.

I rather drain my pond than have some whistle britches Government bureaucrat tell me what to do with it. After all, a man's pond is his castle. Wait, maybe not...

I had a lawyer tell me at a NWF meeting that technically I could not cut down or treat the cattails in my private pond as my pond was considered a wetland or something to that effect. He said it didn't matter if it wasn't a wetland before I put in the pond. I told him I wasn't too worried about it and would do what I pleased in my pond.

It was a good group of people with only a few like this guy over the top.
