You membership fee structure has left the door open for a rival organization, Sunil. I am working hard on the formation of the Smallmouth's Our Bass (S.O.B.) organization. Stay tuned for details.

Nice. Becoming a member is almost (not really) as exciting as releasing the little bronze backs into the pond!
Sunil, what are the benefits of BISA? I'm assuming they've got to be pretty great for that fee.
Theo, what are the member benefits of SOB?? (besides a great name!)
Can one join both??

Howard, sorry to hear about the morts... I think I'm going to have my fingers crossed all summer, especially when we hit days of over 115 degrees. Working on shade solutions...

That's how we get most of our members, Howard.

The first and foremost benefit of being a B.I.S.A. member is having a fish that is smarter than you are. This provides mental stimulation for you for years to come.
Always beware though, that the penalities for leaving B.I.S.A. (should your departure be granted) are very, very severe. I'll have to consult the archives, however, I know that one requirement of leaving was drafting a 450,000 word essay, single spaced, on why you should not be a card carrying member.
EDIT: Theo, if any of our membership had even paid a fraction of their initiation fees or membership dues, we'd have quite a warchest of funds to put down rogue organizations like S.O.B. Unfortunately, we have no funds; therefore we fully support S.O.B.s

Sunil, I think I'll just keep joint membership. Already love watchin' the little smallies heard the fatheads together. It's amazing seeing 1,500 fathead stacked up in a 4 foot "cloud" in the shallows as the smb suround them on all sides. Before the smb the fh roamed EVERYWHERE in the pond, now they're just one big mass of fish afraid to move. What other things are they going to do to prove they're smarter than I am???
