I hung one about 2 1/2 years ago. Nothing the first year but I had a small batch move in the second year. They were always flying around and over my pond and sure seemed to help. I had a wasp nest in the box this year and the bats avoided the house. Sure enough my mosquito population seems to be up. I cleaned the house out and as of last night have had 1 bat return. Plan on putting up 2-3 more. They do an impressive number on flying beetles as well. Plus they are fun to watch.
