If you're thinking light, you might check out rimfirecentral and 22rimfire websites.

If you want a bit more pop, I'm a big fan of the .17 Rem and .204. The .223 and .22-250 have more range. The nice thing about the .17 and .204 though is not having to worry about ricochetts (sp?) as much.
