I spend way more than I care to admit on fish for my pond. I'm very good at self-rationalization when it comes to the pond or anything else I want.
But I don't think I would pay $50 per fingerling for any kind of fish, really. I've paid over $20 per fish for some adult fish, and didn't feel too bad about it.
