Those are regular-strain bluegill, as far as I can tell with them being in the water. I only saw the fungus on one fish; I'm guessing it was a fungus. Is the pond fished somewhat regularly? The fungus looked like it was close to his upper lip, which if it is, it could have been caused by a fishhook wound. Just my two cents.
