Other than a pier all the way across the main pond where I do my fishing to harvest fish, I prefer nothing else on my ponds. One of the reasons I got a pond in the first place was to get away from the local lakes with their houses ringing the lakes, concrete seawalls, gazebos, night lights, etc. To each his own I guess.
I wouldn't have a pier all the way across if most of it wasn't given to me.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
