Our pond has been completed for almost 3 years now. We did not introduce them as a species...they just showed up. Holy crap, man. Have we got bullfrogs! And the tadpoles...YIKES!

We stayed overnight at the pond last night; the second overnighter. Last night, it was very temperate outside. We had the doors and windows closed, and the BF glee club was whoopin' up a storm! It was almost too loud, even with everything closed up. It's pretty funny...until it's time to sleep.

We've got 'em, stocked 100 BFTP in both ponds.

Last year there would be 6-8 BF spread out around the main pond Chuggrumphing at sundown.

I've got them too. I did not stock them they just showed up. I have bullfrogs and toads.

This guy was about the size of my hand. The first half of the clip is out of focus, but once he gives us the profile shot, the camera auto-focus finds him. It's 100 seconds.

Oh so that was a tadpole that brushed up against you in your pond, not a paddlefish. I thought you were exaggerating.

I had a dozen at the beginning of spring. I'm now down to two. One day I found a dead LMB with a pair of frog legs hanging out it's mouth.

I have a few bullfrogs in my big pond. It's close to a creek, so that's where I figured they came from. The only time that I see them is when I'm on the small tractor, and mowing around the pond. They just sit there in about two inches of water and watch me as I go by. I have to look close because they sort of look like sticks to me. I saw one yesterday because of it's eyes. I thought it was a stick until it blinked. Even then, I wasn't sure at first. We've tried to get pictures, but so far, have not been able to find them while walking around the pond.

As the summer starts, my bullfrog population diminishes. Several weeks ago we had 6 or 7 around the pond. I think we are down to three.

They seem to love trying to scare me to death. As I walk around the pond, they wait until I am inches from them when they launch into an impressive belly flop with a great splash.

It is easy to tell when they disappear. I'll see a major water explosion at the edge of the pond. Last year I saw a bass have to flip and flop his way back into the water after launching far onto the bank.

Great work. Usually too dark for me to get a visual on that awesome sound.

I planned to catch/buy some and move them to my new pond but they showed up before I got the chance.

We have several at our ponds, probably close to a dozen or so. Took the kids tadpole hunting again in a little puddle, bucketed close to 50 at least. We threw them in the big pond, likely to become bait, but at least a few might survive, just in case the puddle goes dry.

I love the smell of frogs in the morning.

I have at least 8 that have settle in. It seems strange because I have basically mowed lawn down to the limestone and lots of bass patroling the shallows. The only shelter the frogs have is 3 5" drain tiles feeding the pond and under the dock. I find bullfrog tadpoles regularly while seining too but at the moment I have thousands of toad tadpoles.
