If you have open areas without cover or vegetation, a seine will catch a lot of BG. Also, look into buying a larger sized fish trap like the one I mentioned in the link. You can literally catch 200-300 small BG in a day with that thing. Do that enough I honestly think you can keep the BG in line. You just have to know it will take time and effort, if you're retired, you just might have time to spend doing it...
