Actually my second, one spit out the lure right after he jumped out of the water. Yes, I am 43. Yes, I went fishing as a kid but never caught anything. WOOT!

This is sort of a follow up to my dead LMB post. Realized they were big enough to catch and went out and bought me a fishin' rig. Took a half dozen casts to get a bite, then another half dozen after one got away.

Kep in mind, I just put these in a year ago, and I wear a size 12.

Way to go! We all can remember, well, except for Theo, the first fish we caught. Cherish it. Nice yearling. About 14".

Yeah but the dead one had better bottom habitat.

Jeff,

You're on your way to an addiction we all share! It can beat the hell out of fishing public waters!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Thanks guys! Me trying to figure out what to do after I got it to the dock had to be pretty funny.

I haven't even tried to catch one of my bream yet, they're all hand fed and there's a bunch of them. Not sure how much sport it's gonna be. One of my co-workers pointed out "once you hook a couple, they won't be so friendly".

Tenn, get yourself an ultralite spinning setup, or a 10 ft. collapsible 'brim' pole and you will have yourself a blast with the BG. You need to start thinning them out. Great eating, too. Scale, gut, fry whole up to 8 inches. then, if healthy, fillet. Do you have kids? They will enjoy it. So woefully easy to catch, until they get to the size I'm gonna let cecil mount for me in a coupla years.

1-2 inchers, year and a half ago. I do feed them but not regularly.
