There are no strands on the saplings I put in near my dock. I assumed the Christmas tree would not be "open" enough for eggs but I guess they use whatever they want?


Your saplings may not have been in the right place when they felt like they were having a cow and the vent opening was not big enough.

I've had them drop their egg strands on bottom vegetation in the deepest water.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
