If you ever have to do something like this again, give me a shout. I'v got a 15,000 gph trash pump hooked up to a 6 gal outboard gas tank that I can drop off for ya. (inlet/outlet hoses as well with inlet screen)
Thanks for the offer but I don't ever want to do this again! It's hard on me and it's hard on the fish! Walking up and down a ladder 12 feet above the pond bottom with a bucket full of fish and water is hard on the back! It's even worse if I try and walk up the soft clay steep banks! I just took a hot bath and I am beat!
I hope to get the dyke repaired and muck scraped off the bottom and fill 'er back up! The fish in the smaller pond right now will be caught out by hook and line a few at a time when it's time to move them. Much easier than draining a pond! (I have found out from past experience it's pretty easy to remove virtually all the perch and bluegill from a 1/10th acre pond via angling. They are not the brightest fish in the fish world especially the perch.
