Here is the latest from Southeast Michigan regarding movement of invasive plants from the Detroit Free Press 0n 3/20:
Starry Stonewort is confirmed in 21 Mich. lakes, 11 in my county of Oakland. Experts fear this plant will be more troublesome than Eurasian W. Milfoil. They say the impact on the fisheries will be huge. The next is Fanwort which was confirmed several years back but has just recently started to spread. The say the herbicides used to kill this plant are not currently approved in Michigan.
Lastly, Hydrilla is sited to be found in one Indiana Lake 50 miles south of the Michigan line (wonder if it is near Cecils' place?).
