We have got a customer with a pond about 8 acres with an average depth of around 8-10 feet that has a growing hydrilla problem. Based upon label rates and all I am calculating that they will need 1.5 - 2 gallons of Sonar depending on the ppb concentration level we go with (.25 -.45) My question is has anyone had any luck with spot treatment? The whole lake is not covered in it, just shallower areas, however I have been told that Sonar is a whole lake treatment due to to additional product dilution by the untreated water in the pond. Just trying to justify the customer spending over $3500 on 2 gallons of product

Had a similar application and after verifying with a pond advisor from SePRO Sonar Q was a better choice for spot treats of Hydrilla at a rate of 10 lbs per acre.
