We live in Jasper Texas. 2 1/2 acre pond. LM, CNBG, CNBG Hybrid, Channel Cat and tons of fatheads.

Welcome daymon66! You have tons of fathead minnows, or you think you have tons of FHM?  How old is your pond, and when did you stock it? I'm just an intern greeter. The high powered greeters will be along shortly to give you a proper welcome. We're glad you found Pond Boss. If you need something, just holler.

hello all, by "tons" :):):) i mean 30 pounds i put in a few weeks back. pond is 10 years old natural creek. 30 foot concrete spill way. average depth of 12 feet. spring fed. added 12 Porcupine PVC Trees. 16-4'x4' gravel beds in 4-6 foot of water. and a few PVC Brushes. we have caught several LM over the years an relocated them from Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend Lake. i just recently added 150 LM 6-8" 200 CNBG 1-3" 100 CNBG Hybrids 1-3" 100 Channel Cats 6-8" and the 30#'s of Fatheads. i am working out some aeration details now. purchased a couple of 9" diffusers and i'm shopping compressors now. may just use one of my sho compressors on a timer. finaly have the time to spend on the pond and i want to raise some trophy bass and bluegill for the family and friends to catch.

OK, you just stocked it then. So you do have tons of FHM. As soon as those little bass reach ~6" in length, they'll disappear... if the catfish don't get them first. Sounds like a great setup you have there. Congratulations for making it happen. If you're not already 100% hooked, you will be in a short time.

and i appreciate this forum. have been lurking and reading so i respect and appreciate all the advice and information you have here.
i'll add more FHM when needed but i can walk around the pond now and see them everywhere. hopefully they'll reproduce some but i'll make certain i keep them stocked.

If you haven't noticed we love pictures... So if you have some post them up for us to see.
The recently added fish, were they added to an already established fish community in your pond? If so, what other fish do you have present, size ranges, etc... Thanks for joining in the fun!

I can almost bet most of the 6"-8" CC became bass food if you've got 5-6 pounders in there!
Very nice looking pond and set up! That BG is very pretty. Do you have any RW's on your LMB and BG? Any reason you didn't stock any RES?

Daymon, A giant Land of Sky Blue Waters welcome! You have a beautiful place there. I live about 15 miles from Jasper, Minnesota so we already have a lot in common. Where are you (approximately) in relationship to the 190, 96 intersection?

My guess is with those size fish you have about 10 fatheads left.....MAYBE!

we are about 3 miles south of the 190 96 Intersection. Originally the Hart and The Maddox property. thanks for the compliments and support. no RES. they're already some in the pond and i don't feel like being eaten alive should we decide to swim..
