The moral of the story is that it doesn't matter how much tube you put in the pond if it isn't installed (fluffed and/or purged) properly. I have never seen aerator stones in a pond in action but, if placed under or in close vicinity to the coils, they might promote water circulation trough the coils. It is just an idea. Maybe somebody can tell us if it is worth considering.
