That third pic almost has a smile in it.

I will be smiling big in my next picture now that I am aware of my dorky lip curl in these pics.

Pics of our biggest JewFish!

Not allowed to take them out of the water.

Jew Fish are protected species. They were on the brink of extinction, but have made a huge comeback and are eating up everything! Locals think a tag harvest system will hopefully be coming real soon!

Nate glad you got a break from the ice. Nice to see you kept your cleaning skills in order and did not have them fillet the fish for you. Next time driving through ATL though you better stop by.

Took out an ice fishing trip today and caught some dandies! This one was caught by Dave, it was his birthday today. His bluegill was 11-7/8 inches long and very thick!

Also I had to run and grab one of the rods before it went through the hole and pulled up this 11-3/8 incher. I tried my absolute best to smile!

I went kayaking today and found a place that I think is going to be great for catching bluegill when are spawning. It is about 10 acres of 2-3 feet deep water.

Great Gills Nate ....!
Sometime folks are a smilin' on the outside and cryin' on the inside .... I'd rather it be the other way around, or just maybe smilin' on both sides...

Man, those BG must have both weighed over a pound.

It's easier to smile for BG. It's hard to smile for the saltwater fish because your abs are tearing while holding them straight out.

I agree that has some non-BG genes.

Father was most likely one of the original hybrids stocked and its mother was most likely a female bluegill. None of the original hybrids are still alive and a very small percentage of the bluegills still have a bit of GSF in their bloodlines.

Me too.

"Extremely compromised, grossly inferior genes inserted into innocent BG for pic 1",

"Minimally corrupted genetics possible to remove offending DNA via engineered phage tho host personality likely permanently affected for pic 2"

Per our usual agreement, I'm envious of George's and Nate's fish. But I find solace in knowing that warm weather is coming soon.

It's nice to see everyone doing well.
