my mom dug up one of my daily journals that my teacher made me keep from 1st or 2nd grade. Every entry from the start of school in August untill about the beginning of Nov said "I went fishing in my lake" (I called that pond a lake). Then from about the end of march to the end of school it started again "I went fishing in my lake". The rest of the stuff was usualy about going Ice skating, hiking, or bike riding, but if it was fishing weather I was fishing.
I want my son to have similar experiences. I can't wait to get him started on fishing. Even if he doesn't take to fishing like I did I still want him to live an active outdoor life. I think it's important to get them started playing outside at an early age.
