Wow Bruce, that bluegill site is on awesome site. I'd like to see all the pictures and videos but where I live I can only get dial up so it takes a long time so see anything. I looked at a lot of them and they're cool! I can't imagine that you haven't made a trip to that place in Georgia where that guy catches 3 pound BG! I didn't think such a place existed.
Gotta get back to fishin!

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

The google tracker says that I've had visits from 174 new people today.....just from Lafayette, Indiana.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA! There is so much pressure on bluegills here in our public lakes it's unbelievable! However we have no bag limits on bluegill and someone in the INDNR (I know a few biologists that know better) seems to be behind in the latest research that shows you can over fish the large males. Every few years someone proposes a bag limit and it's shot down with the argument that the less bluegills the more food to go around. Of course many of us know it's not that simple. OTOH Lafayette is where Purdue University is (well actually West Lafayette) so that may have something to do with your response.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

That is a great video. I bet people are shocked when they see it. Even more so if they are used to stunted bluegill in an un managed fishery like we have here. It was creative to start out with slow music and have it get faster as the clip went on. Job well done!
