Scuds may have only 15 to 50 eggs per brood but the broods can number up to 15 per year. The 15 to 50 eggs is a range that encompasses several species. I have not located specific info yet on G.lacustris.
I think scuds will be successful in a pond that has some shallow water areas that are weed choked and the panfish population is not overly abundant. I envision a pond like this to be a minnow-invebrate pond with maybe a few male bgill.
