I was reading about hogs in North Texas and found this article on invasive species and thought of you guys. My pond is still dry and too shallow i guess so maybe I'll fix that one day but now I have feral hogs so I have something to mess with. There was a tidbit about mesquito fish that I couldnt buy knowing how small the fry are and how they populate. Maybe there's another reason the nutria hurts them but I thought I'd ask you guys. Sounded "fishy" to me. Thanks. Hope everyone is well!!! Sounded "fishy" to me. Hi Keith, If they're saying that nutria are threatening the common mosquito fish gambusia affinis, I don't think that's possible. It is possible that nutria drain small ponds and pools, and kill the fish. If water ever returns to the drained ponds, there will be no mosquito fish to control mosquitoes for a while. Although we have lots of nutria in my parts, they haven't affected us much yet. However, the Chinese tallow tree and fire ants are horrendous pests. The giant salvia also sounds like something to cause genuine concern.

Yeah I wanna cook a whole little one one day. The first will be one of those medium ones. I just found their tracks recently then started feeding them and put up a cam. Rocky? Where are ya? We're cookin out when it gets warm:P
