Sending big email hugs for a smooth & complete recovery, but we're going to be careful to not squeeze the back too hard. We are rooting for you Ms Debbie and all your care givers.

Debbie, from my limited experience, recovery is tedious but the pain will be ended. And that's truly something to look forward to. Very best wishes.

Your prayers have been heard. This morning, Debbie was completely at peace before the surgery. That's not her nature. She was calm, ready to go. The team of physicians were excellent. Surgery started at just after 8 and ended just after 1 p.m. Just had a consultation with the neurosurgeon, Dr. John Peloza. He was extremely pleased with the results. The team was able to move the suspect vertebrae back almost to its normal position. She's in recovery right now, we should be able to see her in an hour.
Keep praying, please. The first part is finished, now she gets to heal.

Fantastic News! Ricki and I have been thinking about you two all day (Princess Debbie and Bob, the rest of you are on your own  ). I'm so very glad to hear the good news and have relayed the news to Ricki as well. I know this has been a stressful time for you as well Bob. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Absolutely thrilled that Mrs. Pond Boss did well in the surgery, now she can get better and chase you out of the house.

I am very glad to here everything went well with the surgery. My wife had a similar surgery a couple of years ago, and did not come home until 6 months later with a severe SCI  .

I had back surgery about 10 years ago -- no where near as complex as Debbie's -- but, I can't even express how much it improved my daily life. I woke up from surgery wondering if they amputated my lower half.
Secondly -- just a little suggestion. I've been very happily married to a wonderful lady for nearly 35 years who has very softly educated me in many ways. Based on experience, I'd suggest not posting any pictures for at least a few days. Let her feel she is glamorous again before posting -- at least without tubes, bags under her eyes, mussed hair, and tubes everywhere.

I'm glad to hear the good news. I've never had back problems (knock on wood) but I've heard it can be really tough.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

We'll be praying for Debbie. Bob, please keep us updated on her progress. what davatsa said.... DWIED also suffers from pretty serious neck and back problems.....our thoughts are with you Debbie for a speedy recovery and future life of reduced pain.
