You can get a "pondLog" to control the spillway water here; http://www.siltstop.com/Pond-Lake.htm . Do a jar test to see if the water clears---Put water in a jar, leave it undisturbed for a few days, then see if it clears. If it clears, no need to do anything, if not, there are several ways to clear the water.
