I use tons of porcupine attractors, but I also use tons of pretty much every type of structure you could possibly even remotely think of, including the kitchen sink!
The answer is yes, they do work! But you have to first define what you want to use them for? Spawning structure? Fry Protection? Fishing Reefs? Icefishing Honey Hole? etc.
For example, if you expect to throw out one PPFA into the water and expect it to hold and congregate large amounts of fish, you will be disappointed. If you put them in shallow water, fish will spawn by them, but dont expect to be able to catch 5 bass in a row from one. However, If you want to create an awesome icefishing spot or open water fishing hole, just place about 6 attractors close together in 15 to 18 feet of water and you will congregate fish. They are my favorite for icefishing, because little 2-spot jigs do not get snagged.
