I have been enjoying a lot of the threads here with pics lately. I do have a question about bottom contour. I always though for a private fishing pond it was supposed to be better to contour the bottom of the pond with berms like you would do furrows when planting but about 3' tall, yet i have not noticed any lately here? I have also wondered how these rows would hold up over time.
I also always wanted to build raised submerged islands for vegitation as structure in the lake like you see on golf courses with a retaining wall made out of timbers like railroad ties upright. Anyone ever tinker with anything similar?
