i thought you might be interested in this, an incredible example of ptychocheilus grandis (aka sacramento squawfish), the largest of the north american minnow species.
this was caught by a fella on my other forum while trolling for trout at a lake near me:
it weighed about 9 pounds and went ~30-inches.
