i'm thinking the high pressure nozzle i have pointed at an angle to the water surface would serve that purpose (i.e. surface aeration?) what do you think?
even though it would be hard well water, at 5 gpm (300 gal/hr) there should be enough pond volume (~500,000 gallons) to buffer any significant chemical or temperature changes and it would really chop up the surface.
we have a cold front coming in this afternoon, rain predicted tonight through mid-day tomorrow, then sun again tomorrow afternoon......so the critical time to watch will be tomorrow morning, yes?
