I use a topical spray, the chelated copper will get to the weeds just fine. As far as spray amount, figure the square footage of the area to treat (length x width), then divide that by 43560. this will give you surface acres... (1 surface acre = 1 acre 1 foot deep). the product label will tell you the rate by S.A.'s. I havent used much aquathol granules, they may work but I'm not an expert. Ive stuck with what does work - chelated. As far as a surfactant, I dont usually use one in this mix, but you may want to-- it cant hurt.
