The on-board charger in my Bass boat died so I replaced it with a new MinnKota 3 bank on-board. The project required removal of the front deck.... \:\(

The three Optima batteries are 4 years old and have always been on the charger when not in use. They still hold 13.75 volts when disconnected from from the charger for a few days. That is how I tell that they are good for another year. When they won't hold at least 12.75 volts it is time to start saving up for replacement. That is my theory, anyway.

The last photo is my original wiring job from 8 years ago. Still in good shape, no corrosion. \:\)

Dwight, could you just throw a little dirt or a few dead bugs in there to make me feel like slightly less of a slob?

Theo, I figured that black stain on the carpet by the batteries would be enough to keep you from feeling inferior slob-wise! \:D

It probably would have, but the fact that there appear to be vacuum marks next to the wiring block did him in again! \:D

Seriously, nice work! I'm a stickler with my network wiring closets, something about the sight of organized wires in the morning!!!

Shame on you, Dwight. Get the carpet shampooer out there to the boat at once!

Dwight spends some serious time and effort with terminal blocks and spade and loop lugs.

sullpond, This is the wiring rack for my office. I wired it myself with no previous experience with network cable installation. I had seen plenty of wiring closets, so I had a pretty good idea on what to do. That was ten years ago and still running just fine.

There was dust, though. I have since taken care of that!

Nice!
We've got four closets with an average of 300 drops per closet. The spaghetti potential is extremely high. ;\)
