Always remember that one day when you have sold your property or are not around to supervise a child may decide to dive off the back of a boat or dock thinking that the bottom is as smooth as a swimming pool.
Just recently a customer read somewhere to make structure out of pvc 1 1/2. Several were made and he sunk them away from dock and beach area in the early spring.

Three months later his grandson dives off dock and severly injures himself on pvc.

We were called in to figure out how they got by the dock and we found that snappers coming to nest out must have moved them toward shore the pond beig a fryin pan design. The ends of the pipe were chewed

There should always be min. 10 foot of water over natural installed structure,l same goes for a dock or float raft.

They were anchored with a pallet and nylon rope that was severed never throw a pallet in a pond
