I think I may go with the Cutrine Plus to kill off some of the FA in my pond. Thanks for the advice Jeff.
My question is how safe do you think it is to kill it off now that the temps are up? We are going to have temps between 100 and 106 all week. I am worried about the dead algae on the bottom hurting desolved oxygen levels and having a die off. I do have the ability to add fresh water as needed.

With the extreme temps and increasing water temperature would it be smarter to add 80-85 degree water or 60-65 degree water. My pond should be in the mid 80's near the surface. I am starting to worry about DO levels, can you tell?

Temp of the water to be added probably matters less than how well it is (can be) aerated. My $0.02.
