Did anyone see the "Monster Quest" marathon on the History Channel yesterday. They had a show on huge wild hogs. They discussed Hogzilla (farm raised) and contrasted them with wild hogs. The experts have a way of identifying wild hogs versus hand raised hogs by examinging the skull.

One guy shot what was identified as a wild hog (through the skull measurement analysis) that was estimated to be 700lbs. They couldn't verify the weight (other than what the hunter said) because he didn't get it officially weighted.

The wild hog shot by this guy was HUGE. He was walking down a game trail when it charged him. He put 6 shots in it (on the TV show they showed him firing a lever action gun, looked to me like a Winchester Model 94, but I can't be certain). His buddy put a seventh shot in it to finally kill it.

In the photo of them posting beside it made the hog look pretty darn big. Perhaps it was the Condello Photography Method but I don't think so.

All I know is if I saw that thing charge me I think I would have soiled my armor. (Monty Python reference).
