o.k so looking for more advice, my future plan after digesting all the info, after adding 240 cnbg , 4-6 "and 70 redear, 4-6". over the past 3 springs. My plans will be to add 50-80 more 4-6 " cnbg. As well as 4 , 16" grass carp,Hopeing to eliminate most of the hidding spaces. and each spring Talipia.! does this sound like a great plan? Main questin with all things considered, how many poUnds OF TALIPIA SHOULD I GO WITH EACH TIME ROUND? OF COURSE THIS YEAR WOULD BE A SHORT SEASON, SHOULD I JUST WAIT UNTIL SPRING WITH THE TALIPIA? ANY ADVICE IS HELPFUL!!!! 1 ACRE TO 3/4 ACRE POND. HOPREFULLY I CAN GET ANSWERS TO ALL MY QUESTIONS.

Have you priced tilapia yet? I'd be interested to know if the shortened season makes the tilapia less coss effective.
Also, I'm not sure where Taylor is. Is it far enough south for tilapia to overwinter?
Another point of interest would be to determine from other people nearby you how soon the water temps will drop below the mid-50's so you can figure how long the tilapia will last.
I wish tilapia would make it here in Nebraska.

taylor is central texas near austin summers are long october is still in the 80`s.
