I use 1/4 nylon cord tied to the 4 corners and let it down into the water slowly. At the end of the nylon cord just under the surface of the water I tie a foam bobber to the end of the nylon cord. The bobber is made of this foam packing material that was being disposed of from my work. This stuff is very rugged and doesn't get water logged. I like the idea of the bobber being under water so that all I see on the surface is the boil from the diffusers. I think with any of the diffuser systems there is the fear of it not landing on the bottom right side up. It is just a matter of paying attention and using the nylon cords effectivly.
