Reminds me of the Great Lakes. 183 exotics and counting. Not a damn thing being done about the ballast water that brings in these exotics. Someone is actually suing the EPA to PLEASE do their job. PLEASE!

They finally have started to take this quite seriously in about the last two years. Here are a couple of articles about something they just started doing in the last couple of weeks that is quite simple but apparently very effective:
New rules help stop invasive species Seaway acts to flush Great Lakes invaders They mayors around the great lakes are also starting to really push the states to push the federal government. There have been a number of pacts signed just recently. I wish I could find some of the other articles.
All of this certainly should have been done back in the 1960s, but at least maybe they can start to slow the invasion.
